100. 불국토 an unfavorable land                                       

 

불국토

부처님의 깨끗한땅  The Buddha's pure land
그러하나 특정장소  However, it is not a specific place
어떤공간 정해진곳  Nor a designated space
의미하지 않는다네  It doesn't signify that

경계선을 긋는순간  The moment you draw boundaries
정토또한 사라지고  The Pure Land also disappears
깨달음은 시공차별  Enlightenment transcends time and space
특정공간 차별없네  There is no distinction of place

이쪽저쪽 나누고서  Dividing here and there
깨끗한쪽 택한다면  If you choose the cleaner side
상대적인 곳을갖고  Holding onto a relative place
정토라고 지칭할까  Can you call it the Pure Land?

차별없고 나눔없고  No discrimination, no division
극단없는 장엄없는  No extremes, no grandeur
그자체가 정토이니  That itself is the Pure Land
온갖정토 무한장엄  All Pure Lands, infinite magnificence
장엄정토 장엄않고  A magnificent Pure Land, yet not magnificent
그러하니 장엄정토  Thus it is a magnificent Pure Land
