14절. 교만과 수치를 경계하라

(Be Wary of Pride and Shame)                                           

 

교만과 수치를 경계하라

일상생활 그속에서 In everyday life,
마음쓰고 사는방법 The way of mindful living,
인과업보 관점에서 From the perspective of cause and effect,
업장들을 깨끗하게 Cleanly and clearly,
맑히는법 설법하네 The sermon explains how to cleanse our karmic fields.

금식으로 몸마음을 Through fasting, the body and mind
깨끗하게 비워낸다 Are cleansed and emptied.
물질적인 행을하여 Physical deeds,
만들어진 업장들은 Created karmic fields,
씻어지지 아니하네 Are not washed away.

기도로서 회개한다 Repentance through prayer,
모든존재 생사윤회 All existences, the cycle of life and death,
꿈과같고 환영같아 Are like dreams and illusions,
어리석은 견해일뿐 Only foolish views,
자신만의 관념일세 Just your own concepts.

자비로서 베푼다면 If given with compassion,
깨끗하고 맑아지니 Becomes clean and clear,
괴로움이 오지않고 There's no suffering,
즐거움만 행복만이 Only joy, only happiness,
있을거란 착각이네 Is a delusion.

내가바란 한쪽편의 In the illusion of what I wanted,
환상속에 치우침에 Biased,
어리석은 마음으로 With a foolish heart,
깨어있던 향기마저 Even the fragrance that was awake,
없어지고 만다하네 Disappears and is gone.
